Building

A Temple of Music

A Venue For All Occasions

Built in 1894 for the sole purpose of promoting music education, study and appreciation, the St. Cecilia building has been a community treasure to West Michigan ever since. The walls and halls are filled with musical notes and generations of recitals. Whether piano, dance, choir or opera productions, the St. Cecilia building has a long history of music and community, which continues to this day.

The St. Cecilia building has withstood many a storm over the years. From hard times during the depression through the 1960s’ urban renewal blitz, the St. Cecilia building has remained, thanks to community effort and support. Today it is one of the most beautiful and historic venues in the area and is enjoyed by other arts organizations and individuals for a variety of performances, events and celebrations.
