Adult Programs

The St. Cecilia School of Music provides a life-enriching opportunity for adult amateur musicians of varying abilities to enjoy the experience of making music in an ensemble setting. There is a place for everyone, even those who have never played an instrument before. Ensembles perform concerts at least twice each season in Royce Auditorium. Spring concert is Sunday, May 4, 2014, at 3 p.m.

TUITION: $250 per year / $125 per semester (1 student)

This band for adults of various skill levels encourages students to explore their musical talents and experience the joy of making music. The band performs a variety of music including classical, Broadway and pop.

Conductor Chris Hansen, Rehearsal Mondays, 9:30-11:30 a.m.


The St. Cecilia Grand String Orchestra welcomes violin, viola, cello and double bass players from near-beginner to intermediate level. The emphasis is on having fun and learning classical and popular music together in an informal and non-competitive atmosphere. While the group will focus on ensemble skills and on developing general musical and string skills, it is also and opportunity to meet other adult string players and make some great music.
