July 16-20, 2012, 8:40 a.m.-3 p.m., Ages 8-16
The theme this year is 20th-century music. Students will work directly with international rising-star pianist, composer and songwriter Kris Becker, who will coach them on his original 2-piano, 8-hand compositions.
A DAY AT CAMP:
- Piano ensemble coaching
- Composition / theory
- Private lessons
- Music history classes
- Supervised practice sessions
SWIM AND GYM AT DAVID D. HUNTING Y:
Optional supervised play time 3-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday
FINAL RECITAL:
Friday, 11 a.m. Students perform Kris Becker’s compositions and debut their original class compositions for an audience of parents and guests. Solo honor students will present their pieces. Ice cream social to follow!

in collaboration with SCMC, The Outer Vibe and The Intersection Lounge.
TEEN MUSICIANS WANTED:
- 12-18 year olds with some experience on guitar, bass, drum set, keyboards or vocals!
A REALLY COOL GIG:
- Forming bands and rehearsing for a rock concert finale at the Intersection
- Coaching by The Outer Vibe
- Learning tips and techniques for performance and stage presence, marketing and promoting shows, songwriting and more.
THE BIG FINALE Friday, July 27:
Everyone will be rockin’ and rollin’ to the performances of the Rock Camp bands, The Outer Vibe and other area bands at The Intersection Lounge. Tickets: $5 in advance will be available at The Intersection Lounge or from any of the Rock Camp band members.

ADULT
GRAND BAND CAMP
June 18-21 ~ Monday-Friday, 9:30-11:30 a.m. ~ Friday Finale 11:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
Director Chris Hansen will lead the group in some great band favorites to prepare for an outdoor concert Thursday afternoon at Rosa Parks Circle.
This week will offer a relaxed and social atmosphere with director Chris Hansen leading the group in some great band favorites. The group will play through a variety of great band music on the first day in order to choose a few specific pieces to prepare for their grand finale performance on Thursday afternoon. This final performance will be free and open to the public.
