Growing Great Music through Endowment

ENDOWMENT

An initiative of St. Cecilia Music Center

St. Cecilia Music Center has survived and flourished for 125 years without a significant endowment in place. In looking to generate a more stable and vibrant organization, leadership has developed three permanently endowed funds to support critical operational needs. These ther funds include:

  • Continue in the development of a world-class presenting series of renowned classical and jazz artists.
  • Expand the School of Music with more programs and opportunities.
  • Permanently maintain its building at 24 Ransom Avenue, a historic landmark and community treasure.

ACCEPTING THE CHALLENGE

There are a variety of ways to help St. Cecilia Music Center. One-time gifts, pledges, and commemorative gifts are all appreciated. St. Cecilia Music Center staff, board and campaign cabinet members will be happy to work with you to design a personal giving plan for you and your family. All gifts will be acknowledged and permanently recognized.

ONE-TIME GIFTS
Contributions to the campaign can be a one-time gift of cash and/or appreciated assets, such as stock or other securities. Corporate or business donors might also consider gifts-in-kind, such as building materials, equipment, furniture or furnishings.

PLEDGES
For your convenience, pledges may be payable over a three-to-five-year period. An accelerated payment plan or large installment would greatly assist in an earlier realization of endowment proceeds.

PLANNED GIVING
Commitments of charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, life insurance, and bequest provisions may benefit donors while supporting our efforts for years to come. For more information on estate planning, please contact the Development Department at 616.459.2224.

NAMING OPPORTUNITIES
Certain commemorative opportunities are available for individuals, foundations, and companies who contribute at certain levels to the “Growing Great Music”: An Initiative for St. Cecilia Music Center. These opportunities are available upon request.
