A Grand Investment

NANCY MITCHELL POLTROCK PIANO FUND

On Saturday, March 15, at the 2003 Eight-Piano Concert, St. Cecilia Music Center surprised pianist Nancy Mitchell Poltrock with the announcement that a special fund had been created in her honor to purchase a new concert grand piano for the society and to establish a piano maintenance and endowment fund.

The Nancy Mitchell Poltrock Piano Fund campaign is more than halfway toward its $125,000 goal. On November 13, 2004 at the Eroica Trio concert a Steinway D piano was unveiled, purchased using the dollars raised by the Poltrock Piano Fund. We invite you to join us in support of this wonderful cause and make a donation that will help fund the maintenance necessary to maintain this and St. Cecilia’s many other pianos.

Each contribution is tax deductible, and the names of all donors appear on a permanent plaque located just outside Royce Auditorium, in accordance with the following donor categories:

DONOR LEVEL I: $10,000 and above
DONOR LEVEL II: $2,500 – $9,999
DONOR LEVEL III: $2,499 – $1,000
DONOR LEVEL IV: $100 – $999
CONTRIBUTOR LEVEL: $99 and under

Those donating $100 or more will also receive a collector’s edition CD of Nancy at the piano. Entitled “An Evening with Nancy,” the CD comes with a photo-filled booklet highlighting her background and her many contributions to music and the arts in West Michigan.

As a child, Nancy’s very first performance at St. Cecilia Music Society took place in 1940, the same year that the first Eight-Piano Concert was held. She is a longtime donor to the society, and music has been her passion all her life. So it is more than appropriate that her name be attached to this recently created fund.

We hope you will join us in making this campaign a success. For more information contact development director Catherine Dublis at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 616.459.2224.
